Baby It’s Cold Outside!

If only I had a horse and sleigh… I could finish off my Christmas shopping! Apparently, we’re having the worst snow storm in something like 40 years! Unfortunately, there isn’t any end in sight before Christmas either. Ugh. LOL! Here are a few pics from around my house yesterday. (And there is MORE snow headed our way today…)

Don’t stand under these! Brrrr!

Anybody see our ROAD here???? No??? Neither do I. It’s been buried for days now…

IMG_4338

Here’s a shot of our garbage can on the side of the house…

IMG_4347

And the kids haven’t been playing on their swing set much this week either! Ha ha ha…

IMG_4342

IMG_4345

And here is the rest of our little yard (and yes… it’s postage stamp sized… in case you were wondering… hee hee hee…)

IMG_4344

IMG_4346

And just to prove how much we’ve gotten lately… my husband grabbed my QUILTING ruler… and stuck it down in the snow to measure how many inches we had. (as of yesterday… we’re getting more today. Ugh.)

I know that some of you living in areas that are USED to the snow are thinking I’m a big wimp…. (LOL!) but we are NOT used to this kind of thing up in the Pacific Northwest! School was cancelled all last week, businesses are closing, people aren’t driving… and tow trucks are out and about all day long! Chains are required at the moment on anybody brave enough to drive – and of COURSE, we don’t own any! WAHAHAHA! Oh well. Guess we’ll hunker down and enjoy the ‘family bonding time’ eh?

This week YOU GUYS are going to benefit from Kim B’s ONCE A YEAR STORE WIDE SALE!!! Have you heard yet? She’s putting her WHOLE STORE on a 50% off sale!!!!

No snow here in Ireland - and it never is very deep and never stays around for long.

Stay safe and warm.

Merry Christmas

Ohhh Mannn, I sure hope you got everything you really need for Christmas! We do have snow here, but not THAT much... at least you can say you really had a WHITE CHRISTMAS...lol Get shoveled out and venture out, driving in the snow is FUN! It's the ICE that is really bad....lol I used to be scared to drive in the snow, but when you don't have a choice, you get used to it real quick and after 3 accidents, I've learned a little....lol
Wishing you and your family a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! and when all else fails.....BUILD A SNOWMAN!!! lol

Thank you very much for the neat items you made with Kim b's "Time Anew" kit - love the brag book pages and the candy wrapper!!

We have lots of snow here too (interior of British Columbia, Canada)and some days I've had to shovel two or three times to keep my sidewalks and driveway clear!!

It certainly is a winter wonderland - kind of nice if you don't have to drive too far. My little granddaughters can't wait for the snow to fall, they have so much fun outdoors!

Thanks for the fabulous, festive freebie! Purple is such a royal and fun color too!

We never have snow (Atlanta, Georgia) so any amount seems like a lot to me. We close down for an inch because we're not used to it, people can't drive in it, and we don't have the equipment to handle it! LOL!

Here's to more scrapping, and
Hugs from the heart,
Jeanette

Come scrap your blog with me...

Can we come visit? I'm sick of Emma saying it's not Christmas because there's no snow! Anyway super cute wrapper and thanks. But it's fabulous kit so it's hard not to make beautiful thinks with it.
Hugs and Merry Christmas!

Well, we got a foot and 1/2 of snow and then the wind starting blowing. I think it is letting up. The cars are having a hard time starting so we plugged in the one with a head bolt heater tonight.
Have a happy New Year and go with God!
Thanks!
