Ok… just thought I would let ya all know that we have finally bought a house… but we won’t be moving in till the last week of June (or maybe the first week or two into July). We are in limbo at the moment… living in a temporary spot. But our situation is great… and I am so grateful for an actual date and place to look forward to in the future. (Let the countdown begin! Yay!)

The place we picked needs a LOT of updating and TLC… but it’s a great house… and I’m having fun picking out new everything! (new paint, carpet, trim, doors, hardware, fixtures etc etc etc…) It’s a big project though!!!

Hi there! Just a quickie update… we actually sold our house! It took all of three days sitting on the market… and a nice family showed up and gave us a full price offer and we accepted! (Must have been meant to be right?)

Sooo…

Now we’re in major house hunt mode. I feel like we’re in limbo… and can’t wait to settle back down again. It’s spring break though this week… so we’ll be off to the beach soon and spend some time with my parents.

My girls on crazy hair day (for school)… they insisted on having braids that stuck out from their heads. Silly girls had wire woven through their hair ALL DAY! (I would think that would get annoying… but I guess we all suffer for beauty right? LOL!)

And here’s a pic of Ty doing one of his FAVORITE things ever… feeding the ducks! (This kid just can’t get enough of it!)

And just to give equal ‘pic’ time to all my kiddos… here is Ryan on one of his recent preschool field trips :

Ok… well the back of his head at least! Ha ha! He’s wearing the brown hoodie in the front of this pic. We took our preschoolers to the grocery store for their latest field trip… and it was so fun! The store had employees that took the kids from department to department (dairy section, cereal aisle, produce, bakery etc) and gave the kids food samples all along the way. This picture is from the seafood/butcher section of the store where the kids were getting up close and personal with a crab! So fun!

Ok… well I’m off. Gotta find us a house right??? Hee hee hee…

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

Wowzas! Where in the world would I be without my patient, hard-working, generous, and fun friends!!!??? (Smack, dab in the middle of nowheresville… that’s where! AND probably bald from pulling out my hair… heh heh heh) I have had an insanely crazy couple of weeks… and I think just now I might see a glimmer of light trying to peek it’s way out at the end of this LOOOOOOOOONG tunnel I’m chuggin’ on through. Choo choo! (I’m just going to pretend that I’m the little engine that could… and keep saying, “I think I can, I think I can… hee hee hee…) My friends have helped me so much, kept me sane, and given me confidence. I am so grateful. (Awww… warm fuzzies right?)

We actually have a SIGN out in front of our house now… guess there isn’t any backing out of selling now eh? LOL! I’ve just been finishing up with a little bit of cleaning and our house will be ‘officially listed’ as of Tuesday. Woohoo! Let’s get that ball rolling eh?

Anyway… cross those fingers for us please!!!???

Moving

Breathe. Don’t panic. Don’t think. Keep going.

These are the things I’m telling myself right now. I think I’m presently holding off a minor heart attack – the only way to stop it is by keeping my body busy enough that my brain doesn’t have time to catch up. I’m taking a break from my craziness for a few seconds to blog just so that my head might clear a tiny bit.

Yes… we are moving. Nope… don’t know where. Yes… we are moving out of our house while we sell it. Nope… we aren’t officially insane, we’re just acting like it.

Well, we’re not crazy (maybe)… but there is a bunch of craziness going on right now. We’re painting, packing, and planning… three P’s. We’ve been replacing light fixtures (cause ours were ‘so not cool’ according to the staging lady that came through our house) and making other minor cosmetic adjustments.

Wish us luck? I don’t even want to blog more about it right now… just ‘keep going’ as I said above! I can’t decide quite how I feel right now… excited? Nervous? Hopeful? Happy? I’ll let you know if I make up my mind! Wahahaha!

Ok… on to some random babbling… that is sure to make little to NO sense whatsoever…

Oh… my grandpa turned 90… and we had a party for him. Here he is posing with some of his great grandchildren (most of them mine obviously.) My grandpa is the sweetest, best gpa ever.

What’s New…

Eeek… how is it two weeks into the New Year already???!!! Our holiday season FLEW by… with several trips to the coast to stay with my parents over stretches of time, a HUGE trip out to Florida to play at Disney World, a strange New Year’s where I severely hurt my neck (couldn’t even move much out of bed for a few days), teaching preschool, dance events, birthday parties, and a new weight loss attack plan put into play. Phew!

First of all, my first baby turned a decade old!!! Wowzas!!! Here she is at 10 weeks old:

And here she is at 10 years old at her birthday party… her grandma (my mom) came over to teach a bunch of her friends how to make Ukrainian Decorated Eggs! It was so much fun!

Over the holidays, my sweet friend Mary was nice enough to snap some new family pics for me in her backyard… so here we all are:

And then of course we went to Disney World… we had a blast (you can’t have a BAD time there really…) and loved the whole thing! We even got picked while we were there to be part of a riverboat show… check us out with our silly costumes and tambourines:

We had Christmas since I blogged last too…

My kiddos love the Christmas ‘hat box’ over at my parents’ place!!! And I guess now we have a sneak peek at what Tyler will look like as a very old man??? Hee hee hee…

Kaitlyn had the fun opportunity to dance at the halftime show at a Blazer game in Portland!!! Here is her part of the dance team lined up along the logo on the court:

It’s Black Friday!

Ok… just got back in to my place after spending a couple of nights at my parents’ house for Thanksgiving. My poor mom – she broke her ankle a few days ago… and is having a tough time (to say the least) getting around now! LOL! She doesn’t even have her ‘real’ cast yet… just a temp one till all of the swelling goes down.

We had a lot of fun though… and it was kind of nice in some ways for my mom to be ‘immobile’ --- it gave all of the rest of us a chance to do all of the cooking, cleaning up, and serving for a change! My mom deserves a LOT more of that! (Just preferably without the broken leg part! LOL!)

I Used It Again!

Well… my little guy is now officially 3! Not so little anymore I suppose… but he’ll always be the baby of the bunch as far as I’m concerned! We had fun celebrating with him – eating cake and ice cream… and then setting up our Christmas tree. (Yup… you read that right… and I KNOW it’s early… but we are antsy – and we just couldn’t help ourselves! Wahahaha!)

I put together a ‘sort of’ choo-choo-train looking birthday cake for Ty. (He loved it – so that’s all that matters right??? LOL!) And I am totally going to sound like an advertisement for Pampered Chef here, but I used my Classic Batter Bowl AGAIN for the little ‘hill/tunnel’ that the train is supposed to look like it’s going through. I tend to use my batter bowl a lot for baking cakes… Here is what the bowl looks like: (nothing very out of the ordinary or anything…)

All ya have to do is bake your cake inside the bowl and then flip the baked result upside down… Here is the cake I made for Ty’s birthday this year:

I just keep using that thing over and over again… hee hee hee!

Well – I just wanted to pop on today and say ‘hi’… nothing major. I have some scrapping to do now for Miss Kim… she has a beautiful new Christmas kit out that I can’t wait to dive into. Woohoo!

I didn’t take any ‘real’ still shots during the performance – I was too busy recording the dances on my camera so that I could send it to my hubby via the internet – who is currently out of state on a business trip. (He’s got to see her first official dance team performance SOMEHOW right??? LOL!)

Accounting Widow Again… and Day 7 of B-BAD

My husband is an accountant… and I can CLEARLY recall those days right after we had graduated college and he was studying for his CPA… so I literally NEVER saw him! I had a few friends who were going through the same thing… so we jokingly referred to ourselves as the ‘accountant widows.’ He rocked his CPA test (of course… cause he’s a smarty pants) and passed all the parts on his first try (which is honestly NOT typical!) So I usually get to see him a BIT more now that his test is over with… but there ARE certain times of year that get busier than others for accountants… end of year being one of them. AND for the next few days I am flying SOLO here at home… since Matt is off on a business trip getting all ‘trained up’ in whatever accountants ‘train up’ in. Hee hee hee… (Thank goodness for text messaging on our phones – I can still bug him whenever I want… LOL!)

Ok… ever have one of those ‘no way is my kid THAT old!’ moments??? LOL! I guess I feel that way today. My oldest daughter is about to have her first ever dance team performance in a couple of days… and I keep looking at her thinking, ‘how did she get so old, so talented, and have so many things on her plate to do?’ Wahahaha! I’m not getting any older right??? So how in the world can SHE be getting more mature??? Hee hee hee…

From left to right… we have a panda bear, M&M, a dragon (can’t see his cute tail in this pic), and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter! Poor little Tyler (the M&M) didn’t get to actually go out to Trick or Treat… he was still sick with the swine flu garbage… but his siblings MORE than made up for it by bringing home TONS of candy!

Day 2 of B-BAD!

Hi everyone! I have to make this short and sweet this morning… I am teaching in our co-op preschool today here at my house – and ‘little people’ will start showing up in about 45 minutes! I LOVE teaching in our preschool… we have such a FANTASTIC group of moms who work together to give our kiddos a fun learning and social experience. Ryan is always coming home with fun projects he worked on… and great stories and songs to share with me.

Here is a pic of him showing off a project he made when they were learning about farm animals:

Isn’t he cute???!!! LOL! The pig is made out of paper plates and they got to ‘glue’ marshmallows onto the top with frosting! And they also had a blast making the chocolate ‘haystack’ treats that were inside the pig! (when you put the top plate on top of the bottom one, it forms the pig’s ‘body.’

So… I figure… that’s how the SWINE FLU was brought into our house!!! WAHAHAHA!!! This was the ONLY pig we’ve had around lately… hee hee hee!!!! Ok, ok, ok… just kidding. BUT… I’m not kidding that we DID have the horrible H1N1 in our house. 4 out of the 6 of us got it BAD about 2 weeks ago… it was not fun. We are all fine now though… phew!

So… the blog post title may say ‘B-BAD’… but it’s actually the start of something NICE --- cause B-BAD stands for : BRAG BOOK A DAY! (So I guess you could say that it’s Kim’s fault that I’m : ‘B-ing BAD!’ Wahahaha!)

Yup… in celebration of Miss Kimmie’s oh-so-fab birthday, she’s given us lucky CT members the honor of handing out pressies to YOU GUYS!!! Where in the world have I been??? Wahahaha!!! Well… I’ve been right smack dab in the middle of ‘Busy-Moms-Ville’ – and hovering somewhere around ‘I-Just-Needed-A-Computer-Break-Town’ - which is located next to ‘Oh-WOW-I-Need-To-Get-A-Handle-On-My-Life-City.’

Hee hee hee…

Summer was PACKED, but great. And now the new school year has also proven to be full of activities for me and my family… but I think I am getting the whole routine down now! LOL! And I’ve been having some MAJOR scrapping and online withdrawals… but I feel REFRESHED… and ready to step back into a world I LOVE LOVE LOVE! (So hopefully, my poor little blog will receive some MUCH needed updating and TLC!) So… I’m ‘dipping my toes into the pool’ again… and saying ‘hello’ online today. “HELLO!”

Here are some pictures of my family from the last few months:

Here are my boys… posing in front of a MOUNTAIN of gifts (don’t worry… we only spent about $25 – it just LOOKS impressive!) which belonged to my 2nd daughter, Alycia – who turned 7! Each present actually only contained a TINY animal… but it was fun to see her rip the wrapping off of each BIG box!

Here are the treats she got to eat… because all summer we were battling an ‘unknown problem’ which drove us all BONKERS! For MONTHS she was getting severe stomach pain and would have to throw up at least once a week… poor thing would have to curl up on the floor and hug her tummy in pain. We tried SO many things to try and solve the problem… which meant during her birthday that she couldn’t have any gluten, dairy, egg, wheat, nuts etc etc etc… so these are gluten free/egg free/ dairy free (taste free) cupcakes and sorbet instead of ice cream! LOL! We DID finally crack the case… and now I’m a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of probiotics! (That’s another story for another day…)

Both of my girls performed beautifully in their end of season dance show… here is just one shot of Kaitlyn in her ballet gear. (She had a fun tap dance as well.)

And here is my other sweetie… Alycia… dressed up in her stage make up and ballet costume. (She also had a cute jazz number!)

We went to the beach a LOT LOT LOT… and here are my kiddos dressed up in their 4th of July gear before the parade in the beach town where my mom and dad live.

Ryan also had a birthday this summer… and here we are at my mom and dad’s beach house celebrating in ‘Pirate Style’ with my first ever PIRATE CAKE! Woohoo! I had SO much fun making this one… and I think it turned out pretty cute! (If I do say so myself…)

Ryan learned how to ride a bike… (***Go Ryan… Go Ryan…***)

Matt and I took our crazy crew on a road trip across a few state lines and showed our kiddos the college where we first met.

We took everyone to a few museums on our vacations too… and LOOK… my kids blend right in with the wild animals… wahahaha… go figure!?!?

Ryan got to take swim lessons this summer for the first time… he did so great!

And the girls got new haircuts for the new school year. (Alycia’s is a TON shorter!!!)

Here’s Ryan after his first ever ‘friend’ birthday party! (He’s been to LOTS of ‘cousin’ and ‘family’ birthday parties… but this was the first one for a friend of his own age who wasn’t actually related to him! LOL! Look how cute he is!!! I LOVE the whole dog theme!

Ryan also started preschool this fall! I’m helping teach as part of a great co-op group that my friend started up. He LOVES it and it’s really turned out to be a LOT of fun! Here he is after his first day… what could be better than a new t-shirt, egg carton ant project, and a pink cupcake???!!!

Tyler is determined to believe that it IS already Halloween… and loves to wear his dragon costume all over the house.

Anyway…

I’m sure I’ve thrown enough photos into this post now eh??? LOL!

I’ve basically just been keeping busy with trying to get Alycia healthy, taking time with my family over the summer for lots of trips and together time, piano with the girls, DANCE lessons (all the time… since my oldest joined a special dance company), soccer, swim lessons, preschool co-op, play groups, school starting… etc etc etc…. and I think I just needed the time to re-organize my life… kwim??? I took two steps back from the computer – and I’ve missed it. Now that’s it getting C-O-L-D again… I think I will have more time indoors to sit and visit again… so I thought I should say ‘hi.’

Well… I will chat again later. Hope you’re all enjoying the beautiful fall colors and all of the fun seasonal activities.

Angels Tears… that’s the name of Kim B’s latest kit! She worked with the fantastic & talented Jenni Rousseau (Chaos Louge) to put together this lovely kit.

This is my oldest daughter --- isn’t she gorgeous!?! (Yeah… I’m not biased or anything… wahahaha!) Angels Tears has a lot of deep red and brown tones (among other colors… hee hee hee…) perfect for these pictures.

So… if you’ve been a follower of my blog in the past, you’ve probably noticed how I pretty much skipped blogging this month? LOL! I guess it’s time to spill the beans… I decided to take a step back from designing --- (click HERE for more details if ya wanna) --- I want/need to spend more time with my four young, crazy kiddos. Now I’ll just spend my extra time scrapping with OTHER people’s gear… rather than creating it for my store. (Less work for my brain… wahahaha!) Every Once In A While…

So… every once in a while I surprise MYSELF and manage to create something ‘crafty’ by HAND that I actually like! LOL! (I am much more at home on the computer… wahahaha!) I have friends who are patiently teaching me how to USE the cool gear you can buy at a craft store… and make fun stuff!

Check out these cute cards I made last night ::: (all thanks to Terri! THANK YOU TERRI! You are the card queen! Woohoo!) I can hardly believe that I actually used scissors, glue dots, stamps, markers, brads, ribbon, and embossing powder!!! LOL! Hooray!

Maybe one day I’ll be up to par with ya! hee hee hee…) They are all birthday cards… and thanks to Terri’s creative juices, I have four differently themed handmade birthday cards now! Yay me! LOL! The one on the right will be PERFECT for my father in law… he’s a carpenter! (oh.. and btw… the photo mask I used on the pic above is by Kim B.)

While getting together with my friends, I also managed to stuff my face FULL of all kinds of fattening YUMMY desserts! I had a lot of fun… even if I do end up gaining ten pounds… ha ha ha! Sometimes ya just gotta indulge eh?

Captain Chaos!

Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA lately! I’ve been busy enjoying being the mommy of four very ‘active’ kiddos and more specifically chasing down ‘Captain Chaos!’ LOL! WHO (you may be asking) IS ‘Captain Chaos?’ Well… that’s our name for my youngest son, Tyler. He LOVES to have us tie any old blanket around his neck and RUN around the house shouting ‘Captain Chaos!!!’ at the top of his lungs. LOL! We feel like the super hero name is PERFECT for him! Wahahaha! My older son, Ryan, keeps changing his own super hero name. Nothing has really seemed to stick yet.

I think in the lower picture (above) Ty is using his amazing ‘mind control’ powers to try and get us to give him cookies… hee hee hee… And here is a little video of him declaring himself as ‘Captain Chaos’ and of his brother calling himself ‘Captain Nothing’ (since he couldn’t come up with a name that he liked that evening… LOL!)

I’m not sure if I ever did share the video of Ryan singing his ‘Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life For Me’ or not here on my blog… but I figured I’d throw it in here too… just for fun… it’s kind of a ‘classic’ now at my house… wahahaha!

Ryan STILL wears his pirate hat, hook, and sword around the house… those were the BEST Christmas gifts he ever got! Woohoo!

I had fun this weekend trying my hand at some more ‘decorated cupcakes.’ Remember the butterflies??? Well… so I thought I would try to make Panda Bears. They were… well… they were… NOT so great! WAHAHAHA! I actually ran out of time to finish them properly… so they never did have claws like they were supposed to. And I couldn’t find anything lightweight to use for the ears… and the chocolate wafers I ended up using were a bit too heavy… they kept sliding down. LOL! AND AND AND… I had to take them to a family get-together (for the dessert) and when we packed them into our van to transport them, the heat and vibration from the car made their FACES MELT OFF!!!! LOL!!! Take a peek:

The panda bear heads are actually mini cupcakes turned on their sides… and the frosting just couldn’t hold up on the car ride. A little bit ‘mushy’ eh? Hee hee hee… Oh well… they were fun to play around with. But I think I like how my butterflies turned out MUCH better than these little guys.

The get-together I took these melty bears to gave me a chance to snap a picture of my kiddos with some of their cousins. And of COURSE it’s MY kid who has to throw the ‘oh no you aren’t going to take my picture’ fit!!! Argh! It was a miracle we even got this ONE shot of him!

All of the other shots we had of him were worse than this one… at least in this one it only looks like he’s trying to escape… instead of throwing a gigantic tantrum! (Which he WAS doing.) LOL! Aren’t they a cute bunch!?!? They are all great kids… we’re lucky to have such a wonderful group of cousins!

Fun huh? They made up a ‘treasure hunt’ using clues they placed through the house to lead him to where it was! He had to WORK for his gift… hee hee hee…

Just a quick post today… I somehow have ended up with only a tiny window of computer time this afternoon. I had fun this morning visiting with my sister, Meg, and her daughter (who is the same age as my oldest son)… AND my grandpa too! We hung out at the library – picked out some books and then walked around behind the building where they have a large park and duck pond. My boys were giggling their heads off as they threw bits of food for the birds to chase after. We all came over to my house afterward and had lunch… and this is the first chance I’ve had to pop online. The rest of my day is going to be filled with my role as ‘mommy chauffeur’ taking my girls to this lesson or that activity etc etc etc… (you know how it goes…)

Anyway… enough boring you all with my ‘oh-so-thrilling’ life! LOL! (Although I DO get to have a bit of ‘out of the ordinary fun’ tomorrow… it’s my husband’s birthday and we are going OUT! Woohoo! **I’m not cooking dinner.. I’m not cooking dinner** Hooray!)

She created a crown out of the paper grass as well… this girl has creativity just oozing out of her! LOL! (she also used Christina Renee's Old Cuts: Lil Birdies and an adaptation from a freebie at Old Photograph Album) Thanks so much for sending this to me… it’s gorgeous!

If you look closely at the layout above, you’ll notice that Bre used the egg designs as patterned blocks in her page! (she also used a template by Lindsay Jane) I LOVE how the patterns work so well with the picture!!!

If you read my last post, you probably figured out that my latest digital project had something to do with Easter and eggs right? Well… you are 100% correct! I’m just bustin’ with excitement about this one… I put together an Easter kit (an extremely ‘non-typical’ one) in honor of my mother’s pysanky art! My mom, Joanne, creates the most beautiful Ukrainian decorated eggs! She’s taught classes for over 20 years, had her eggs displayed in shows and in galleries, and has even been on television with them! (Is my mom cool or what? LOL!)

Silly Boys and Sweet Girls

Hello again! Anybody else excited to see buds on the trees outside??? I am SOOOOO happy that we are seeing the first ‘real’ signs of spring! Woohoo!!!! Bring on the sun I say…

My boys have a bit of ‘cabin fever’ I guess you could say. It’s hard to believe… but I think they are actually getting SILLIER day by day… here are a few pics to prove it : (I didn’t ask them to hug and hug and hug and hug… that was ALL their idea… wahahaha!)

I have to admit though… I LOVE seeing those cheesy grins and adorable dimples… melts my heart!

Last week my younger daughter was home from school most days… but she mustered up the strength to go to her 1st grade choral concert one evening. (poor thing had to keep wiping her nose through the whole performance!) Here are some shots of her before the show… (one with her older sister too…)

And remember those butterfly cupcakes??? I tried my hand at making them for myself… and they were actually cute!!! Woohoo! Here I am at about 1 in the morning proudly showing off my creations with my good friend. (our ‘girls nights’ go late… wahahaha…)

Even More Moody

Wahahaha… do you like my blog post title today? Hee hee… it’s because I’m going to show ya a few more layouts using my new kit, ‘Natural Moods’… but also because it’s how my poor little kiddos are feeling lately. We’ve had fevers, coughing, and runny noses here for quite a while now. Needless to say, my kids are NOT in the best of ‘moods.’ Unfortunately, it’s passing through everybody just one at a time… (I wish it would just hit us all at the same time… get it over with!) and this morning was my younger daughter’s turn to stay home from school because her head was hot enough to fry an egg on. :-( I’ve been meaning to sit in front of my computer and put together another freebie for ya… but I just haven’t gotten that far yet! LOL! So today you’ll have to settle for a bit more eye candy from some of my friends using my new kit.

Good morning everybody! Did you all have a good weekend??? Mine was spent staying up at night listening to my little 2 year old cough… poor little guy! He is feeling a bit better today though… (cross your fingers) so I think there is some light at the end of the tunnel! Yay! And my oldest daughter, who had stayed home from school sick on Thursday AND Friday finally went back to school again today too. Looks like we are on the mend!

New Month… New Challenges!

Woohoo!!! It’s March! I always LOVE a fresh start… and I would really love to put February BEHIND me… thank-you-very-much! Too many visits to the doctor, too many projects ‘started’ and never finished off, and too many crazy things to handle!

Our WORST crazy thing in February was my husband getting in a car wreck! He gave me a call early one morning to let me know that he had totaled the car!!! After my heart started beating again… he gave me a few more details : he was FINE (thankfully) but both HIS car and the car in front of him were toast. We had experienced another icky morning of snow that day… and apparently the car right in front of my husband started skidding and spinning uncontrollably on some black ice– so Matt had to try to turn HIS car to avoid the one in front of him – and he ended up spinning too – and then after both cars had spun around into strange locations, Matt’s car grazed the side of the one in front of him and then Matt went off the road and into a ditch! Arrrrgh!!!! So now we have to go car shopping since we are down to only our van. (Which I need during the day to cart my kiddos around in… and today I am ‘carless’ since Matt took it to work. Ugh.)

On the PLUS side of things… I got to redeem my Valentine’s Day gift from my hubby this past Saturday ::: A 90 MINUTE MASSAGE!!! WOOHOO!!! Yes… major brownie points were earned by Matt!!! LOL! So at least I had one AMAZING February experience right?

Sorry about the issues with the bandwidth everybody! I didn’t know that the free box.net account only allows you to have 10 GB of bandwidth each MONTH!!!! So after about 700 downloads, my account has fizzled… LOL!

I’ve re-upped the entire thing all together into 4shared again… and I will suggest what other people have suggested if you want to use 4shared safely… don’t use IE when downloading… use Mozilla Firefox instead. It’s a free browser that is very fast and easy to install. Their security blocks the 4shared virus apparently. (That’s the word on the ‘street’ in any case…)

Yum, Yum, Yum… Oh… AND a SALE!

Anybody ever go to a Pampered Chef party??? If you HAVE… then you know that sometimes they have ‘themes’ for the food that the demonstrators prepare for you (while they try to sell you everything in their cooking supply catalogue… hee hee hee…). I hosted one of these parties a long time ago… and the theme I picked was ‘Death by Chocolate!’ (of course…) And one of the recipes we tried out during our party was one for these AMAZINGLY YUMMY brownie bites!!! And NOW I’M ADDICTED TO THEM!!!! LOL! I made these just a little while ago (with my ‘very excited’ son helping me) to take over to our friends’ house… and I just thought I would show them off here! They are extremely tasty and super easy to make. (Click HERE to check out the recipe) The topping is made out of white chocolate, cream cheese, whipped topping, milk, and powdered sugar… YUM!

I hope you all had a good Valentine’s Day! My oh-so-sweet hubby surprised me with a gift certificate for a 90 MINUTE MASSAGE!!!! WOOHOO!!! (Can you say ‘major brownie points for HIM???!!!’ WAHAHAHA!) My kiddos enjoyed handing out treats at school to their classmates too. I wanted to do something a bit different from the typical store bought cards… so I put together these little treat purses. I based the design on a free purse template by Angelflight Scraps.

I used Kim Broedelet’s CUTE kit, ‘Hearty Tarty’ to make these. And YES… it was a LOT of cutting!!! LOL! I picked on some of my poor friends and made them help me put them together at a Scrapbooking night my friend hosted at her house last week. They took one look at my ‘pile of paper’ and gave me some major pity looks… and just dug in!!! Ha ha ha… THANKS GIRLS!!!

And I know it’s already late on Sunday morning… but I had to pop on here and let you know about an INCREDIBLE SALE that Kim B is having today!!!

I’m Back! I’m Alive!

Well… the cold that just ‘wouldn’t die’ has finally kicked the bucket. (I hope… ha ha ha!) I still am feeling tired… but mostly better! Hooray! I’m finally planting my backside in front of the computer this morning for (hopefully) a while to get some things DONE that I’ve been putting off because of a total lack of energy! ***I was having ‘scrapping withdrawals’***

Vampire Attack

I know I’ve been MIA on my blog lately… but remember last time when I was just ‘feeling a big sluggish?’ Well... it was a precursor to being actually SICK. Ugh. And it just won’t GO AWAY! I blame it all on my husband, Matt. He pretty much NEVER gets sick… and he DID a little while ago. So I figured that if something was strong enough to get HIM sick… I would most likely get it too. (and I did of course) LOL!

I was chatting with my friend, Mary, on the phone today… and she mentioned that her sister has something similar to me… and that her ‘throat felt like it was burning.’ And that’s part of what I have too! My throat is just burning and it HURTS! I told her that I am just like those vampires in the Twilight books (cause they always say that their throats are burning)… so I guess I must have been bitten in my sleep or something… hee hee hee… So I’m gonna call it my ‘vampire attack.’

Well... while I’ve been busy being a lazy good for nothing sicko… I have friends who have been actually putting together gorgeous scrap stuff for ya! LOL! Kristine (you are SUCH A SWEETIE!!!) made this page a bit ago with my last kit…

I think my post title pretty much ‘says it all’ for me over the past few days! LOL! I’m really not feeling so hot and all I want to do is climb back into a warm bed. (It’s cooooold here!) I’ve been trying to avoid my computer actually… (and not getting anything done that I’ve been planning to get done… LOL!) but I wanted to pop in here and say ‘hello’ this morning at least.

‘WE’ Love Our ‘Wii’ --- And LOTS Of Eye Candy!

Our family has been enjoying a present given to us by my grandfather this Christmas… a Wii game system. Anybody else have one of these things? They are so much fun! We are such dorks with it too… we’ve had MANY a late night staying up playing tennis, darts, bowling, baseball, MarioKart, basketball, carnival games, etc etc etc… My oldest son’s favorite game is golf. Now keep in mind that my ‘oldest’ son is only 3! He just loves swinging around the remote and shouting ‘I got a Bogey’ (which means one over par in golf). I’m not exactly sure where this tag line came from… but he says it every time he hits the ball now! LOL!

Just look at that concentration while racing their go-karts!!! (And their mouths stuffed full of pretzels! LOL!)

And Tyler just watches the action --- eating pretzels and grinning from ear to ear! (I think he’ll have to grow a bit more before jumping into the Wii action.)

Autumn Splendor!

I’m so happy it’s a new year… the holidays are behind us and I have finally had a chance to sit down and ‘play’ on my computer! LOL! I put together a new kit for sale in my store using some of my favorite colors and textures. When I looked at the color palette I chose, it reminded me of Autumn… (which happens to be my favorite season) so there you have it! “Autumn Splendor” evolved into what you see here:

I know it’s not Autumn anymore – but this kit can really be used all through the year. It pulls earthy, warm, and rich color from nature and it has a variety of buttons, ribbons, bows, and glitter splotches. There are LOTS of mixed and blended tones in the papers - and this kit also contains a large selection of leaves. I’m a BIG fan of cluster frames… so I threw in a couple of those along with some ‘stand alone’ frames as well.

You’re Know You’re Getting Older When…

Remember when you were in college and could pull those ‘all night cram sessions’ and then take your test the next day without feeling worn out??? Or remember going out on long dates or activities where you get home waaaaaaay past midnight… and all you need is a quick cat nap to refresh yourself? Well… I guess I’m just not a spring chicken anymore. Last night my good friend, Jacki, hosted one of her fun scrapbooking get-togethers… and I didn’t even stay quite till midnight… and now I’m bushed!!! How pathetic am I???? WAHAHAHA! I think I’ve just had too many nights in a row of not sleeping well… and it finally caught up with me. (and I guess there’s also that whole ‘I have 4 kids’ thing… LOL! Excuses, excuses…) Argh… ‘oh to be 19 again eh?’ (at least I’ll always be 19 in my head… hee hee hee…)

Soooo… today will be a short post. (Hard to make it a long one --- and have it make any SENSE when you’re bleary eyed)

Well… We Survived

Anybody else feel that way about the holiday season this year? LOL! I feel like I can finally exhale… **breathe in, breathe out** School has STARTED AGAIN (woohoo!) – and we are all back into our normal routine.

Here are a few shots of our Christmas chaos from the past week or so :

Our kiddos slept in front of the Christmas tree out at my husband’s parents’ place. (We started out at their place for Christmas… and later celebrated Christmas ‘again’ at my parents’ place over New Years.) My girls wrote some ADORABLE letters to Santa and left them under the tree.

I finally got around to printing out our Disney World vacation pics… so the girls had fun looking through their new album!

Forget about all the ‘real’ presents… our little ‘Harry Potter’ look alike here just wanted a plain old pencil and paper!

Look how cute this little ‘sleigh’ is!!! My mom baked mini bread loaves, put candy canes under them, made an elf ornament to stick on the top, and placed them at our dinner plates with our names on them! Too cute eh? (My mom is pretty much the queen of crafty!)

My mom also MADE OUR STOCKINGS! My grandmother actually started the tradition – but my mom has taken on the ‘stocking maker position’ since my grandma passed away. Hard to see, but our names are all embroidered on them. Aren’t they cute against my mom’s fireplace?

Kaitlyn entertained us by playing Christmas carols.

I have the BEST MOM in the universe… she makes working in the kitchen FUN by having us all wear Santa aprons and hats. Pretty ridiculous… but a BLAST!

My mom also happens to make the best cookies in the WORLD… and my kids associate cookie making with HER. (not me… LOL!) They have so much fun helping her bake cookies each time we visit.

Here are my boys RACING through my mom’s kitchen. They are SOOOO helpful in there! WAHAHAHA!

Anyway… congrats on making it through my boring family photos… LOL! I happen to like my crazy crew… and it’s fun to show them off once in a while. :-)

Baby It’s Cold Outside!

If only I had a horse and sleigh… I could finish off my Christmas shopping! Apparently, we’re having the worst snow storm in something like 40 years! Unfortunately, there isn’t any end in sight before Christmas either. Ugh. LOL! Here are a few pics from around my house yesterday. (And there is MORE snow headed our way today…)

And the kids haven’t been playing on their swing set much this week either! Ha ha ha…

And just to prove how much we’ve gotten lately… my husband grabbed my QUILTING ruler… and stuck it down in the snow to measure how many inches we had. (as of yesterday… we’re getting more today. Ugh.)

I know that some of you living in areas that are USED to the snow are thinking I’m a big wimp…. (LOL!) but we are NOT used to this kind of thing up in the Pacific Northwest! School was cancelled all last week, businesses are closing, people aren’t driving… and tow trucks are out and about all day long! Chains are required at the moment on anybody brave enough to drive – and of COURSE, we don’t own any! WAHAHAHA! Oh well. Guess we’ll hunker down and enjoy the ‘family bonding time’ eh?

Bucket Heads

School here has been cancelled ALL WEEK because of an unusually high amount of snow…. so we’ve been inside a lot. And what do my kiddos do to keep themselves amused??? Well… put buckets on their heads of course!

Hours of endless fun eh? Over and over and over and over…. put the bucket on YOUR head… put it on your BROTHER’S head… back on YOUR head…. and on and on….

Putting buckets on your head will naturally lead to MORE silly behavior… so my boys eventually started tackling their daddy!

Gotta love all that snow outside!

On the scrapping side of things…. I’ve been having fun playing with Kim Broedelet’s brand new kit : “Time Anew.” It’s a fun, sparkly kit full of gear to scrap those ‘celebratory moments’ in life! And it’s PURPLE… my daughter’s favorite color! Woohoo!

Still Singing?

I'm still singing today.... anybody else??? "...I'm dreaming..... of a White Christmas....just like the ones I used to know..." I've been sitting at my computer listening to the soundtrack to 'White Christmas.' That music is so much fun... I think I've seen the movie a bazillion times. (my mom pretty much raised me on classic musicals! LOL!)

Do you have your Christmas tree yet? We don't. Ugh. And I'm not sure when we're going to get out and get it either. We usually go out together as a family (see picture below from our 'tree hunting' last year) and pick out a tree. But.... every spare weekend/evening this month in the near future seems booked already. (I've been debating on whether or not to get a 'fake' tree this year... make it easy. But I don't think my husband is very excited about that idea... lol) Tree hunting just involves so much mud, cold weather, kids running all over... etc etc etc.... we need to go into it with lots of energy.... WAHAHAHA.... and I'm not sure if I have that at the moment. hee hee...

In The Holiday Mood...

Sing with me now.... "Dashing through the snow.... in a one horse open sleigh... o'er the fields we go.... laughing all the way... HA HA HA.... bells on bobtails ring... making spirits bright.... what fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight.... OH --- Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...."

Ok, ok, ok... I'm stopping now! LOL! Couldn't help myself. My kids have been throwing 'Christmas parties' (just for each other) and have been playing holiday music extremely LOUD the whole time. I've resisted singing along for the first 100 times they played 'Here Comes Santa Clause' and 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer'... but I just couldn't help joining in after that! hee hee hee...

Anyway... this past weekend my girls had the fun experience of performing in the dance production of 'The Nutcracker!' They have been putting in lots of hours on Saturdays practicing for their performances.... and they did such a great job! They had four shows, and I was very impressed by the quality of all the dancing, the costumes, the acting.... etc etc etc.... it really put me in the Christmas mood! Here are a couple of pictures of my girls waiting backstage:

My older daughter is a Soldier... she got to dance with a rifle (wooden... not real... lol) and fight with an army of mice! And my younger daughter is a snow angel. Her scene was a lot of fun.... they had snow falling for the entire scene, a snow queen and king, a sleigh... and GORGEOUS dancing with everyone dressed in white! I'm so proud of my little dancers!

I also wanted to let you guys know that Kim B has extended the time to buy her FANTASTIC new CU grab bag....

It's FULL FULL FULL of great gear! And since I've been brimming over with 'Christmas on the brain', I put together a small Christmas themed freebie for ya. I used LOTS of ribbons from Kim's new grab bag (and a few from past ones), some buttons from her new bag, some overlays from her new bag (and a couple from past ones) and stitched the 'ribbon tree' all together. Hope you can find a use for it... it was fun to put together.

Hi there! And Happy Thanksgiving! (Although.... from the number of gifts/freebies on Kim B's blog today, you'd think it was Christmas!) Hope you're all planning an enjoyable day... I'm preparing myself for a massive 'stuff my stomach past capacity' meal... Thanksgiving is all about 'go big, or go home' right??? LOL!

Thanksgiving? What's That?

Ummm..... anybody else notice how we skipped right from Halloween to Christmas? The radio stations are already playing Christmas music, the stores are decorated for Christmas, all of the TV commercials are about Christmas gifts.... aaaaaakkkkk!!! And here I was really looking forward to Thanksgiving.... one of the few holidays where you don't have to buy anybody any presents, you get to hang out with family (ok.... well... between the guys watching the football games that is...), eat YUMMY food, and take a nap! What's not to love?!?

So my last blog post had some Halloween pics in it.... and THIS post will have one of my favorite pics from last CHRISTMAS in it. hee hee hee.... Guess I'm skipping Thanksgiving too!

Happy Halloween! Hope you all have some fun plans for this evening.... (and I hope it STOPS RAINING here in the Pacific Northwest! Argh!)

My family went to a Halloween party at my church the other day... so I already have a few pictures of my kiddos in costume to show you.

My oldest daughter is Sorcerer Mickey Mouse, my younger daughter is Minnie Mouse, my oldest son is Mr. Incredible, and my youngest little guy is Piglet. (poor guy - gets all the hand-me-down costumes! LOL!)

But I don't feel TOO bad for him.... look at that cute little face! He's going to be a heartbreaker!

And my older son had fun showing off his "BIG MUSCLES" all night! WAHAHAHA! It's so funny watching him walk around 'flexing' his arms for everybody!

Good morning! Thought I would try to put a smile on your face by showing you some pics of my kiddos from last Halloween. Don't ya just love my little froggie? I've already got Halloween on my brain.... my kids have their costumes ready to go! Kaitlyn is determined to be 'Sorcerer Mickey Mouse', Alycia is going to be Minnie Mouse, Ryan is going to be Mr. Incredible, and Tyler will most likely be Tigger or Piglet. (Poor guy... he's the only one being forced to wear the hand me down costumes! LOL!)

New Month... New Things Happening

Wowzas! It's already October! It's really starting to feel like fall now. Up here in Oregon there is always that morning risk of rain on the way to the bus stop. Ugh. Bust out the umbrellas. Here comes that infamous Oregon rain!

My girls are really getting into the groove of school now though.... and luckily they both love it. (That always helps eh?) My poor little Alycia.... on the way to the bus stop (which is only a few houses away) she tripped and tore up her knees pretty badly, bruised up her forehead, and roughed up her hands. She's screaming bloody murder through the entire neighborhood, I'm freaking out, and HER biggest concern is that she might miss the bus!!! LOL! Well... at least she wanted to get cleaned up quickly and back in that bus stop line. (And she DID make it.... we cleaned her up, stuck on some band aids.... and she was out the door!)

Anyway..... there are a couple of really fun things happening at DSO this month. Character Hunting

Hello! We're back from sunny, hot, muggy Florida! And we really had a blast! We enjoyed the free Disney Dining plan (got into lots of fun character meals) and had a great time on our first ever visit to Disney World. The girls filled up their autograph books with TONS of signatures from LOTS of Disney characters..... here is a taste of who they got to meet:

We met Mickey Mouse at least 4 different times! Still made for fun pics though.... since each time he was wearing something different. We met tuxedo Mickey, chef Mickey, sorcerer Mickey, and jungle explorer Mickey.... and I think we have a pic of him in his 'original attire' as well. (not sure if I show that one above or not....)

I'll be back tomorrow with a few more pics from our trip.... just wanted to pop on here and let you all know we were back. My parents came over yesterday and are staying with us today and will be here tomorrow as well. (Fun last minute visit.)

My Latest Digital Convert

I'm about to rush off to the airport.... WOOHOO! (Disney here we come!) I'm going over and over and over the lists I put together.... making sure I'm packing everything we need. Oh how I HATE packing. And the UN-packing is even worse! HATE IT!!! But.... it's all worth it for our Disney vacay! Hooray!

Even though I'm headed out soon... I thought I would pop on here and show off the AMAZING layouts my friend, Jacki made! I've been slowly 'converting' (LOL) Jacki from her great paper scrapping to digital scrapbooking.... and she is a natural!!! She takes amazing photos.... and she doesn't rest till she 'learns it all!' She just bought Photoshop, is enrolled in some online classes to learn all about it, and she just posted to an online gallery for the 1st time ever!!! I told her I was going to show them off here on my blog.... YOU ROCK JACKI!

Don't you just love this great two pager?!? I love the flour on everybody's faces! Cute cute cute!!!

And these camping pics are great.... I really like how she included so much journaling down at the bottom.

Anyway.... one more thing I HAVE to let you all know about..... Countdown!

So our countdown until the 'start of the school year' has FINALLY finished! (Woohoo!) My two oldest kiddos are back in school and loving it. I still have my two youngest kiddos at home though of course. Over the last couple of weeks, my 3 yr. old has managed to conquer potty training.... and life has gotten a bit easier for me now that he has 'mastered the potty!' Yay!

But now our family is starting a NEW COUNTDOWN --- till our first ever trip to Disney World! We are leaving VERY soon and we are only taking our two oldest (leaving the 3 yr. old and 1 yr. old with grandparents for a week). To say we are EXCITED would be the understatement of the century! You would probably laugh your heads off if you knew how much research I've done - trying to learn everything I can about the parks! WAHAHAHA.... I am such a nerd! I know it! But.... until I started looking into WDW - I didn't even realize that there are 4 parks to see! (And 2 water parks to boot!)

Woohoo!!!!!! If any of you have last minute 'tips' for me.... let me know SOON!

I really don't have a clear idea about how the invite happened.... I just know that Matt was in heaven! Hee hee hee.... Matt is on the far left - right next to Trailblazer player: Brandon Roy. And on the far right is another Trailblazer: Martell Webster. Obviously the guys in the middle are NOT basketball players..... (LOL!) just other business guys like my hubby.

Argh.... Those Olympics!

Anybody else blame their bloodshot eyes on Michael Phelps and EVERY OTHER Olympic sport and athlete???!!! WAHAHAHA!!! Those DARN Olympics!!! Why do they have to be so addicting and be on SO LATE at night here on the west coast of the USA? Ha ha ha! Guess that's what happens when China happens to be all the way on the other side of the world eh? I admit I've missed a few nights (HAD to catch up on my sleep at SOME point...) but most other evenings I've tortured myself squinting up at the TV through zoned out eyeballs.... needing to see for myself if we got another swimming medal! LOL! Hopefully now that the swimming is over it won't be so bad....

Thank you to everyone who has sent me emails with well-wishes for my mom and the rest of my family. The day before yesterday she really turned a corner, and is now actually 'recovering.' I have to admit, I've been a nervous wreck over the past few weeks.... it's just horrible seeing her in so much pain. I feel hopeful now though that she will actually get better.... and maybe she will get to come home from the hospital by the end of the week. (Maybe. Cross your fingers.)

I wanted to send out a BIG THANK YOU to Pamela and to Lei who gave me awards AGES ago on their blogs (LOL!)... but with all the crazy stuff going on with my mom.... I haven't blogged in forever!!! They both made me feel SO great---I can't thank them enough for the wonderful things they said about me. (Big {{{{HUGS}}}} for you both!!!) Make sure to check out both Pamela and Lei's blogs for all kinds of fun freebies they've been busy making lately!!! Woohoo! They are both very talented AND are very sweet ladies!

And OF COURSE Kim Broedelet has been up to her eyeballs creating great new scrapping gear lately... (I've gotten totally behind...) Mothers Are...

"Mothers are, or should be, the very heart and soul of the family. No more sacred word exists in secular or holy writ than MOTHER."

I suppose I wanted to include this quote in my blog today.... because that is exactly how I feel about MY mother. (The picture above is of me with my mom and my two daughters.) My mom is such an exceptional example to me of 'goodness' in the world.... she puts everyone else first - and is constantly encouraging me in everything I do. She provided me a wonderful home growing up.... full of love and safety. We have SO MUCH FUN together --- she loves to laugh and have a good time. She's not scared to try new things. The more I learn of the world, the more I know how LUCKY I am to have her... and how unique my experience has been with such a wonderful mom.

My sweet mom is having surgery today. And although I try not to be nervous.... I can't help it. I just thought I might 'let the digi-world know' about her.... maybe if you are able to include her in your thoughts & prayers - maybe the 'positive energy' will make a difference. She's been in the hospital for over a week now.... and her condition is not (hopefully) anything life-threatening.... but she's been in pain for too long now.... and this surgery should help.

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while.... there are SO MANY things (other than things about my mom) that I WANT to say.... but they will have to wait for other blogging days.

Thanks for all the support you've given ME.... and thanks for any prayers you might have to offer for my MOM.

Update: Since writing the above.... I've talked with my mom, and her surgery is now pushed back till Wednesday. (She's NOT very happy about having to wait evern longer.... but she trusts the doctors.) Her recovery will keep her in the hospital for at least a week or so AFTER her surgery as well.... (if all goes according to plan) so her hospital room is really becoming her 'home away from home.' Ugh.

Have any of you ever run through sprinklers? Have you ever done it for so long that you had to wring all the water out of your clothes cause you were SOAKED THROUGH? LOL! That's what my kiddos were up to last night at the park. We were enjoying some AMAZING weather outside.... and all of a sudden the sprinklers came on! (**Imagine lots of screams here**) After the initial shock wore off, all 4 of my kids decided that the water was actually FUN and spent the rest of the evening getting drenched!!! Ha ha ha! It was interesting getting them back into the van and back home again after that.... but it was worth it if just for the looks of glee on my kiddos faces!

An Incredibly Sneaky Guy!

I happen to be married to an INCREDIBLY SNEAKY GUY!!I'm going to keep this post quick today (It's my birthday and I want to go 'play' - LOL!) but I have to brag about what an amazing liar I'm hitched to. Ha ha ha!

On Saturday, my husband actually managed to surprise me with a HUGE birthday party!!! I'm 30 this year, so I suppose he thought 30 was 'party worthy'.... He's been lying to me for about 4 solid months now getting all the plans straightened out. (I'm so proud! hee hee hee...) He bought all the food, came up with clever lies, invited over 60 people, didn't even tell the kids about it (cause you KNOW they would've blabbed), and managed to not give me the smallest, teenie tiniest hint about what was going on! I had a WONDERFUL time and felt extremely spoiled! (I've never had a surprise party before.... and the whole thing was a bit surreal for me.... I couldn't believe it was for ME!) My mom was there too - and she had created these big poster board thingys with pictures all over them from my entire life! (Yup... some embarrassing ones too.... ha ha!) Needless to say, I felt very loved.

Oh... and for those of you who read my last post.... the party ended up being the 'date' that my husband said he was taking me on. LOL! It was the best 'date' I've even been on! Woohoo!
